The Haunted Swamp Experience

Experience a blackwater swamp at night!

You will be paddled on a haunted boat ride through the swamp and then dropped off to return on a haunted walking trail through the woods

 The haunted event is not recommended for young children and may be too scary for some people*

Children ages 5 and under are not allowed in the haunted event, ages 6-12 with parental permission only 

Haunted tickets also include the General Admission Activities:

Campfire with marshmallow roast, featuring Mike Miller telling family-friendly stories

“The Pumpkin Trail” –unhaunted lighted walking trail for young kids

(Tickets for the general admission activities will be sold at the gate for $5 and do not include the haunted event)

Warning:

*Haunted event may include strobe lights, chainsaws, and situations that are too intense or gory for some visitors

Keep your hands inside the boat at all times

There is a danger of tipping associated with the boat ride

Walking trail is dark and may be uneven; watch your step and do not run

Ticket Policies
Tickets may be picked up on night of event only; bring printed receipt (use my account link in upper right corner and print using my order icon) and photo i.d. (of the person listed as “shipping address” on order form) Limited tickets available. No one admitted into the park after 9:30 p.m. All sales are final. No refunds.

Handicap Information
The park is ADA accessible except the boats and walking trail (see accessibility info) but the paths will be very crowded during the event and passage with a wheelchair may be difficult.
Parking Information
There is an onsite parking lot; part paved, part gravel. Berkeley County deputies will be available for assistance. The lot will be very full for the event; parking in the grass or walking a bit to the entrance may become necessary.
Accessibility Information
The boats are flat-bottom (similar to row boats) and require stepping down from the dock to get into them. Most of the walking trail is covered in gravel; some parts are packed shell sand or dirt. The footbridges on the trail are a little steeper than ADA guidelines.
Special Instructions
The waiting line to enter the haunted event will be very long. You enter by boarding a boat that holds about 10 people. It doesn’t depart the dock until the previous boat is out of sight, to ensure the best experience for you. All haunted tickets are sold in advance and we only sell as many as we can accommodate each night. Rather than wait in line (which may take an hour or more), we suggest that you enjoy the rest of the festival and/or have a member of your group hold your place in line; we will honor your ticket before the end of the event.
