When Roscoe’s Tavern opened on April 1,1987 it helped to change the face of the surrounding neighborhood and the face of the “gay bar” business in Chicago. Roscoe’s continues to flourish today and works to improve the community in which our business’ future depends. Roscoe’s believes that hope for a bright future hinges on linking the residential and business communities together in ways such as registering people to vote and by becoming members of many neighborhood associations and organizations.
Roscoe’s is a fun and entertaining place for the most adventuresome customer. Whether you come to drink, dance, sing, watch videos, shoot pool, dine at our sidewalk café or hang out by the fireplace or in the garden—there’s something for everyone. Roscoe’s celebrates the diversity and individuality of our clientele and makes it our mission to encourage self-expression and creativity. We employ incredibly talented and dynamic men and women who embrace all people and are eager to welcome you, your family and your friends to Roscoe’s.
