Where are consumers of your organization on the Internet? They are usually all over the place from local store websites, to researching, finding out what is playing at the local movie theater, or finding out what was the first capitol of the United States. Groups often put their eggs all in the same basket, but when you are dealing with the Internet, it is important to market your event everywhere you can. MyCommunityEvents.com is the perfect listing place as it is free, so there is no cost to list that event. According to the FAA, in October of 2010, 62.1 million people traveled all over the United States alone. I know I travel a good bit and when I arrive to cities I have to look at 20 websites to figure out where I might spend my time while in town. I usually just give up, as it takes up way too much time that I don’t have. That sure is a lot of people that might be looking for something to do while they are in town. The reason I like using MyCommunityEvents is that I can find many things going on in one place and they have listings all over the US and even across the globe. The only thing I can say, is if you aren’t listing your events, you are missing out on a great opportunity to increase your audience and have more people find out and attend your event now or in the future.
